Seattle — Come From Away is a musical about humanity and resilience. It is based on the true story of 7,000 airline passengers who were stranded in Gander, Newfoundland on 9/11 and illustrates the trials a community overcame in the face of tragedy.
Actress Becky Gulsvig performs a song from the new musical, and we meet the real-life person her character is based on, Airline Captain Beverley Bass, to learn more about the story's background.
Come From Away was workshopped as a developmental lab in the 5th Avenue Theatre's New Works program, and they are proud to launch the North American Tour. The musical has won the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award and is described as, "A musical that changes you, heals old wounds and lifts the spirit."
