Snohomish County appears set to get first Raising Cane's location

The company said the location "should open within the next two years."

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — After a pair of restaurants in King County, Raising Canes Chicken Fingers says it has signed a lease on its first Snohomish County location.

The company confirmed to KING 5 that it plans to open a location in Lynnwood, and has signed a lease. The exact location is not yet known, and the company said it hopes to open the restaurant in the next two years.

Raising Cane's previously announced it was expanding into Seattle's University District and Renton. Both of those locations likely will open in 2025.

Currently, the closest Raising Cane's to western Washington is down in Portland, Oregon.

Raising Cane's was founded in 1996 and is known for fried chicken fingers. Based in Louisiana, Raising Cane's has hundreds of locations around the country, most of which are in the southeast. Over the years, the company has gradually expanded west.

The fast-food chicken chain isn't the only widely popular spot making its way to the Pacific Northwest. In-N-Out appears to have initiated plans for a pair of Washington locations down near the border with Oregon. Popular doughnut chain Voodoo, founded in Portland, also has announced plans to open a Seattle location.
