It has the feel of someplace timeless. But Seabrook actually came to live here on the Washington coast less than 20 years ago. The town's founder, Casey Roloff, says the guiding philosophy is simple.
"It's all about getting together with our family and friends. And dogs are a part of our families."
This community of vacationers and permanent residents warmly welcomes all, including visitors with four feet.
"Somebody will come in and buy a house and we'll say, 'So, what put you over the edge?' And they'll say something like, 'Well our dog just loves it here,'" Roloff said.
It's no wonder. Many of Seabrook's small businesses are pet-friendly.
One highlight is The Salty Dog, a pet shop with carefully curated items, from toys to treats.
The Mill 109 restaurant and bar even offers a doggie menu with non-alcoholic Bowser Beer for their furry customers.
About half the vacation rentals here allow dogs.
Of course, the star attraction is the beach. It's among the most beautiful on the Washington Coast.
This seaside town is an ideal getaway for your four-legged friend
A day at Seabrook is a day you and your dog will never forget.
Seabrook was voted Best Pet-Friendly Getaway in 2019's Best Northwest Escapes.
