Full Tilt Ice Cream shop is closing in White Center

The White Center shop will close May 26 and wholesale operations will stop at the end of April.

WHITE CENTER, Wash. — Full Tilt Ice Cream's flagship store in White Center is closing in May.

According to a statement on Facebook signed "Mrs. Full Tilt," the White Center shop will close on May 26 and wholesale operations will stop at the end of April.

The Columbia City shop will remain open, but that location does not accept gift cards, coupons, or birthday party certificates from other locations, according to the statement.

The closure comes after the owner of Full Tilt, Justin Cline, died from a heart attack in early March. He suffered a heart attack in February.

"I’m beyond grateful for the love and friendship and support these past 16 years," the store said in a post on Facebook. "It’s truly been the best years of my life. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this craziness. Thank you White Center."

A GoFundMe page with a goal of $10,000 was set up to help the family. As of April 8, it has raised more than $90,000.

Full Tilt was founded by Cline and his wife, Ann Magyar in 2008 in White Center. It expanded to include locations in Ballard, Capitol Hill, Columbia City and the University District. The Columbia City shop will be the only one operating once the White Center location closes.
