SEATTLE -- A Seattle apartment fire that sent a firefighter to the hospital Saturday morning has been ruled an arson.
Seattle Police say they arrested a 33-year-old man seen pouring gasoline on an outside stairway at an apartment building in the 1000 block of South Thistle Street, then lighting it on fire around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Firefighters rescued a woman trapped on the second floor.
A firefighter went to the hospital after getting overheated, fighting the flames.
The suspect was arrested on investigation of arson and was booked into the King County Jail.
