College Inn Pub the underground bar in a historic landmark

College Inn Pub is the perfect college basement bar in U-District with a spooky regular.

Seattle, WA — The College Inn Pub is located just across the street from the University of Washington campus. This underground pub is part of a historic building complex that includes a hotel that was built for the 1909 Alaska-Yukon Exposition.

Pool tables, dartboards, worn wooden booths, and a fireplace are a few of the attractions here.

The cooks and bartenders report that this unique pub has a regular friendly spirit. It’s said that a sailor named Howard Bok was murdered in one of the rooms of the hotel and that Howard spent most of his time in the basement bar.

Tip: Howard the ghost even has his own menu item! For $7.50, you can get yourself the Howard's Special, aka a pint of Pabst and a bagel dog.

Happy Hour is 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. You can get $1 off Drafts and $5 Wells.
