SEATTLE — Hispanic Heritage Month began Sunday, Sept. 15, and runs through Tuesday, Oct. 15.
To recognize the heritage month KING 5 Weekend Mornings hosted Bailadores de Bronce (Bronze Dancers), a Burien-based Mexican folklórico dance group.
The group's executive director Adrian Olivas discussed the importance of why the group was started more than 50 years ago.
Olivas said it was part of the Chicano Civil Rights movement and providing Hispanic students and community members a platform to share their culture and embrace it.
People from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds are welcome to join and dance.
