SEATTLE — KING 5 is partnering with Safeway Albertsons to collect in-person donations for the 23rd annual Home Team Harvest.
On Dec. 2, bring nonperishable items to one of two locations between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.:
9262 Rainier Ave S, Rainier Beach Safeway
5802 134th Place SE, Everett Safeway
Expect to see some familiar KING 5 faces there as well!
It's all part of the state's largest food donation drive. Home Team Harvest, which benefits Northwest Harvest, aims to raise 23 million meals to fight food insecurity across the state.
You don't have to wait to donate. Click here to donate online through Northwest Harvest. You can also visit your local Safeway Albertsons store to purchase $5, $10, or $12 grocery cards. These grocery cards provide much-needed funding that will be distributed to Northwest Harvest and its partner programs across Washington.
Since 2001, Home Team Harvest has raised more than 100 million meals. This year, KING 5 is partnering with Northwest Harvest, Safeway Albertsons, Providence Swedish, Kitsap Credit Union, WARM 106.9, and the Seahawks to fight hunger.
Tune in to KING 5 on Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. for the one-hour broadcast special! Your support for Home Team Harvest helps change lives in our community.
