'Surviving with Style' supports Washington cancer fighters

The Oct. 19 fashion show in Seattle supports Cancer Pathways and its mission to provide resources and empowerment to cancer fighters and their families.

SEATTLE — Cancer fighters of all ages are gathering to strut their stuff for an organization that's been supporting patients and families for decades.

The fashion show "Surviving with Style" is set for Saturday, Oct. 19, at The Westin Seattle.

This event started in 1998 and, three years later, led to Cancer Pathways opening its red doors on Capitol Hill as Gilda’s Club Seattle.

After more than 25 years of the show and 650 models participating, it continues to be one of the biggest fundraisers and community events for Cancer Pathways.

Cancer Pathways CEO and cancer survivor Michelle Millman stopped the KING 5 studios on Sunday along with 9-year-old cancer fighter Blair Kim.

Kim was diagnosed with Intracranial Nongerminomatous Germ Cell tumors in April of this year.

Millman talked more about the upcoming fashion show while Kim shared exciting results from her lemonade fundraiser that brought in hundreds of dollars for Cancer Pathways.
