1 person shot and killed in Seattle's Sandpoint neighborhood

When police arrived to the scene they found a 23-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

SEATTLE — Police are investigating after one person was shot and killed in Seattle's Sandpoint neighborhood early Sunday morning. 

Around 3:30 a.m., 911 dispatch received reports of a shooting on the 6900 block of 62nd Avenue Northeast. 

When police arrived, they found a 23-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. 

Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. 

The Homicide Unit is working to investigate what led up to the shooting. No suspect has been identified.
