SEATTLE — Police said a teenager was injured in a shooting Saturday night in Seattle's Yesler Terrace neighborhood.
The Seattle Police Department said a 13-year-old girl was injured after a man fired several rounds towards a group just before 10:30 p.m.
Officers were called to investigate a shooting in the 1100 block of East Fir Street. The teenager was taken to Harborview Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
Investigators learned there was a "disturbance" between the suspect, his girlfriend and her family. Police said the suspect pulled out a handgun from his car and fired at the family members during the argument. The 13-year-old, who was struck once in each leg, was the only person injured in the shooting, police said.
Authorities said to call SPD's Violent Crime tip line at 206-233-5000 if you have any information on the shooting.
