16-year-old killed in Auburn shooting, police say

Two other juvenile males were found with gunshot wounds nearby.

AUBURN, Wash — A teenager was killed in a shooting late Friday night in Auburn, according to police.

The Auburn Police Department (APD) was called at about 10:45 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting in the 500 block of A Street SE. 

Officers found a 16-year-old male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency crews tried to save the teen's life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators found two other juvenile males with gunshot wounds. Police said the juveniles have been released from the hospital.

Police have not identified suspects in the deadly shooting, but officials do not believe there is a threat to the community.
