FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — The prosecutor’s office in King County says two teenagers are in custody and accused of killing a man during an attempted carjacking in Federal Way.
Alhusaine Drammeh, an 18-year-old from Federal Way and Jonathan Montejano, a 19-year-old from Kent, both pleaded not guilty to a murder charge on Monday. Prosecutors say the pair have spent the last month robbing and burglarizing people.
One case happened in Kent on Oct. 15. As a couple returned home, they managed to quickly slam their front door and lock it when they realized a man was behind them. Surveillance video shows the man trying to get into the house. He was armed with a gun and even tried to break the family's surveillance camera when he realized it was there. According to investigators, it was Alhusaine Drammeh.
Police say 10 days later, Drammeh worked alongside Montejano to allegedly attempt to commit a carjacking in Federal Way. On Oct. 25, a man who stopped at an auto parts store was carjacked at gunpoint. Court documents state that when the victim tried to defend himself from the robbery, Drammeh and Montejano opened fire on the victim, killing him at his car door. The victim, Robert Blowe III, died from a gunshot wound to his chest.
This month, Drammeh and Montejano were charged with murder. The next court date is the arraignment. It is scheduled for Nov. 27.
