DES MOINES, Wash. — Police are investigating after a 2-year-old was accidentally shot by her 3-year-old sibling in Des Moines Saturday night.
Des Moines detective sergeant Scott Oak said officers were called just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday to investigate a shooting in the 22000 block of Pacific Highway South. Oak said a 2-year-old girl was accidentally shot in the neck by her 3-year-old sibling while their mother was in another room.
Police said the child was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition. Detectives are investigating what led up to the shooting.
