4 suspects arrested after smash-and-grab burglary of Seattle pot shop

Four suspects who were not part of the initial smash-and-grab burglary began stealing items from Have a Heart dispensary as a crime of opportunity and were arrested.

SEATTLE — Four suspects were arrested after a smash-and-grab burglary of a pot shop in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.

The Seattle Police Department was called to the 100 block of Blanchard Street to a report of a burglary at Have a Heart cannabis store at around 2:28 a.m.

Five suspects had smashed a car into the building, stole items from the store and fled the scene, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

Additional suspects who were in the area, but not part of the original break-in, also entered the store and began stealing items as a "crime of opportunity," SPD said.

Police arrested four men between the ages of 30 and 60 for commercial burglary and booked them into the King County Jail.

The car used in the break-in was towed from the scene for processing of evidence.
