SEATTLE — Seattle police detectives are investigating after two people were hit in a deadly shooting in the Lake City area Wednesday night.
Police say officers were dispatched to the 12000 block of 33rd Avenue Northeast around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, they found a 41-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Harborview Medical Center, but the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officers found that an altercation led up to the shooting involving a third man. Police say the third man left the scene on foot after the shooting and has not been located.
The woman in the hospital is in stable condition, police say, and is expected to be arrested on suspicion of assault once she is released.
