Man killed, another injured after shooting stemming from motorcycle dispute in Graham

Deputies believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute over a motorcycle.

GRAHAM, Wash. — An overnight shooting in Pierce County left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Deputies responded to the 20700 block of 92nd Avenue East just before 1:45 a.m. Monday morning after reports of a shooting.

A 36-year-old man was found in the street, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office (PCSO). A 48-year-old man was also found with serious injuries at the scene. He was first taken to a nearby fire station before being taken to the hospital, and PCSO said that the victim is expected to survive.

Deputies learned upon investigation that a group of people had been hanging out near a home on the street. That group went to a nearby house and got into an argument over a motorcycle, deputies say. Eventually, shots were fired and the two men were hit, deputies say.

A PCSO spokesperson says law enforcement knows who the suspect is and hopes to have them apprehended soon. Deputies don't believe there is any outstanding threat to the community, but say anyone with information about the shooting should contact PCSO.
