Man found shot to death at north Seattle gas station as police investigate

Aurora Avenue North was closed down for hours as SPD investigated the scene.

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after a man was found shot to death at a north Seattle gas station early Wednesday morning.

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) told KING 5 that officers in the area responded around 2:30 a.m. after hearing gunshots. A man in his late 30s was found with a gunshot wound, police said.

Officers performed CPR at the scene but the man was pronounced dead at an Arco gas station at the corner of Aurora Avenue North and North 105th Street.

Crime scene detectives were at the station gathering evidence to determine what led up to the shooting but did not yet release any suspect information.

SPD confirmed to KING 5 that this marks Seattle's 11th homicide of 2024 so far.
