SEATTLE – A woman has been arrested for an alleged hit-and-run crash that injured four people.
It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at Denny Way and Wall Street.
Police say the driver was exiting State Route 99, jumped the curb and hit four pedestrians on the sidewalk along Wall Street. The driver then took off, hitting a tree and a pole. The car finally stopped at Wall Street and Western Avenue with significant damage.
One of the people hit sustained a serious head injury and another had a broken leg. The other two had bruises and scrapes.
The driver, a 27-year-old woman, was arrested. Police say she appeared intoxicated and later defecated in the back of a patrol car. She was booked into the King County Jail on investigation of vehicular assault.
