RENTON, Wash. — Authorities said a suspect is in custody and another on the run after a home invasion in Renton's Fairwood neighborhood early Thursday morning.
The King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) said the suspects broke into a home while the family was still inside. Deputies chased the suspects until a series of car crashes near SW 192nd and 106th Ave. The suspects fled on foot after crashing a stolen car, a spokesperson for the KCSO said.

The KCSO spokesperson said one suspect is in custody, while another has not been found in connection to the early morning home invasion.
The Renton Police Department and Kent Police Department have assisted with finding the second suspect.
As deputies continue to search for the second suspect, they are also investigating the details of the case.
"The vehicle in question that crashed was impounded, our investigators will be getting a search warrant for that vehicle to search for evidence, and our major crimes people will be interviewing victims as well as the suspect," King County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Eric White said.
Sgt. White says it's too early in the investigation to confirm how or why the burglary occurred, but there are some reminders for all homeowners to keep in mind.
"People should invest in a home alarm system, with a monitor that has a good audible, a loud either ring, bell, or some kind of loud noise that can wake them up in the middle of the night as well as being monitored so that alarm company can alert the authorities of the burglary," Sgt. White said.
