2 injured in drive-by shooting in Capitol Hill Saturday, police say

SEATTLE — Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood after two people were injured early Saturday.

Seattle police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of 10th Avenue East at around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Arriving officers reportedly found two victims who were hiding nearby. Police said a 27-year-old man was grazed by a bullet in his leg and a 33-year-old woman was shot in both of her hands.

Both victims were treated by Seattle Fire Department personnel before the woman was transported to the hospital.

Police found multiple shell casings in the area and discovered a vehicle that was struck multiple times.

Police said the suspects fled the area and have not been located. The events leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
