GIG HARBOR, Wash. — A woman is in custody after she allegedly shot and killed a man at a home in Gig Harbor Wednesday night, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department (PCSD).
PCSD said deputies responded to a 911 report of people screaming and shots being fired just before 10 p.m. The caller reportedly told 911 that a woman shot a man.
Arriving deputies arrested the woman and found a 39-year-old man dead inside a residence. The woman's daughter and two other young relatives were at the residence at the time of the shooting, according to PCSD.
PCSD said detectives determined both the woman and man were using drugs at the time of the shooting.
The woman was booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigating of second-degree murder.
