MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Marysville police arrested two suspects in a drive-by shooting who were later connected to a pair of 7-11 robberies that had occurred the week prior.
Early on the morning of March 12, officers responded to multiple emergency calls about gunshots on State Avenue. Callers described the shots coming from a vehicle, which was quickly located by officers, the Marysville Police Department said in a release Thursday.
When the suspected vehicle was stopped, officers realized that the vehicle and at least one of the suspects were involved in two 7-Eleven robberies from the week prior, police say.
No one was injured in the drive-by shooting, although several apartments were struck. The two suspects were taken into custody and the vehicle was seized for a search warrant.
Marysville detectives did link the vehicle and one of the suspects to two robberies, police say, and that suspect is expected to be charged with two counts of robbery in the first degree on top of the drive-by shooting.
A search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of a firearm that was suspected to have been used in both robberies as well as the shooting. Police referred to it as a "ghost gun," meaning it did not have a serial number.
Marysville police ask for the public's help in identifying and locating the second suspect, pictured below. Anyone with information is asked to call 425-760-2540.
