OLYMPIA -- Authorities are on alert after a man accused of shooting at a Mason County Sheriff’s deputy last month was accidently released from jail on Friday.
On March 31, authorities say Joshua Weythman Baker, 27, of Shelton, shot at a Mason County Sheriff's deputy during a pursuit. He was being held at the Cowlitz County jail as a suspect in the shooting.
At this time it is unknown what caused Baker's released. Deputies believe he was given a bus ticket to the Olympia area.
Baker is 6 feet tall, has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Agencies in and around Olympia are on alert, but there is no active search underway.
