LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Two people were killed after a minivan stolen from the Lynnwood Park & Ride crashed into an SUV Tuesday morning.
Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle just before 10 a.m.
The van drove erratically out of the parking lot, striking a vehicle and causing a collision, according to police.
The van was then involved in two additional minor collisions before approaching 44th Avenue from 168th Avenue at a high rate of speed. It crossed over the center line and crashed head on into the SUV, killing a 69-year-old woman.
The driver of the stolen van was also killed.
Drugs or alcohol are suspected to be factors in the crash, according to police.
The crash is under investigation.
