An inmate at Monroe Prison will have his stay at that facility extended for another two decades.
Twenty-six-year-old Daniel Perez was sentenced to 24 additional years in prison for trying to kill another inmate in the facility's laundry room back in 2009.
Perez will start h is new sentence after he completes his current 30-year murder sentence for strangling a cell mate in 2006.
