Not guilty plea in Roosevelt road rage killing

A man suspected of pulling up alongside a fellow driver and gunning him down in Seattle'sRoosevelt neighborhood has entered a not guilty plea.

Wearing a red jumpsuit in King County court Monday, Thomas Dinh Bowman, 29, pleaded not guilty to first degree murder in the death of Yancy Noll.

As many as 50 people, mostly friends and family of Noll, were in the courtroom for the arraignment, according to Ravenna Blog.

Noll, 43, was shot in the head three times on August 31 near the intersection of Northeast 75th Street and 15th Avenue Northeast.

Detectives believe the killing may have been the result of road rage.

Bowman was arrested nearly a month later, after police obtained a surveillance picture of a silver, BMW convertible.

If convicted he faces between 25 and 31 years in prison.

Bowman is represented by local defense attorney John HenryBrowne, also known for defending Barefoot Bandit Colton Harris-Moore, as well as Robert Bales, the Army Staff Sergeant accusing of shooting and killing 16 civilians in Afghanistan.
