SEATTLE — One person was shot and killed inside a business in West Seattle Wednesday afternoon.
According to Seattle Police Department Sgt. Patrick Michaud, the shooting happened inside a business at 36th Avenue Southwest shortly after 4 p.m.
The victim was shot multiple times then taken to Harborview Medical Center, where they later died.
According to Michaud, it is not clear if the shooting was random or targeted and no suspect is in custody. No firearm was recovered at the scene, so police do believe the suspect could still be armed.
The shooting happened in a commercial area with several businesses in a shared space, so it was not immediately made clear which business the shooting happened at. Police do know multiple people were inside the room where the shooting occurred.
