Seattle police investigating deadly shooting early Sunday morning

Seattle police reportedly found the 22-year-old victim with a gunshot wound in the stairwell of a building. He later died from his injuries at the hospital.

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's Mount Baker neighborhood early Sunday morning.

According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3600 block of 34th Avenue South just after 2 a.m. Arriving officers reportedly found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the stairwell of a building.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Seattle police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. No suspect has been identified.
