Police investigating homicide in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood

Officers who arrived on the scene found a 25-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and attempted live-saving efforts.

SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating a homicide that happened early Saturday morning in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Police said a report of a shooting that occurred in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue came in just after 1:30 a.m. Officers who arrived on the scene found a 25-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and attempted live-saving efforts.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Seattle police said the circumstances that led up to the shooting are still unknown at this time and that the investigation is still ongoing. There is no information on a suspect.
