Police investigating triple shooting in downtown Seattle on Fourth of July

Police said the suspect, an adult man, fled the scene on foot. Police have yet to locate the suspect.

SEATTLE — Police are investigating after three people were shot in downtown Seattle on July 4.

The Seattle Police Department said officers responded to reports of a shooting at 3rd Avenue and Pike Street at 11:01 p.m. Thursday night. At the scene, they reportedly found two men with gunshot wounds.

One of the men, 35, was shot multiple times and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in a serious condition. The other man, believed to be an uninvolved bystander, was shot once and was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Police said the suspect, an adult man, fled the scene on foot. Police have yet to locate the suspect. Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene.

On Friday, police learned of another man, 31, who reported to them that he was shot near 3rd Avenue & Pike Street Thursday night.

Police are still investigating what led up to the shooting.
