Juvenile injured in shooting in Seattle's Mt. Baker neighborhood

Responding officers found a juvenile female with a gunshot wound to the neck and provided aid until Seattle Fire Department crews arrived.

SEATTLE — A juvenile was injured in a shooting in Seattle's Mt. Baker neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Seattle police said officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2500 block of 29th Avenue South at about 2 a.m.

Responding officers reportedly found a juvenile female with a gunshot wound to the neck and provided aid until Seattle Fire Department crews arrived.

Police said the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

The events leading up to the shooting are still unknown and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Police have not shared any information on a possible suspect.
