AUBURN – Officers are investigating a shooting in the parking lot of Bye the Green condominiums.
Bye the Green is located at 35th Street NE and I Street NE in Auburn.
Kristoffer Rongen, a Washington Dept. of Corrections officer, was working on an ATF operation when he was shot and injured by the suspect about 3 p.m.
Rongen's partner returned fire at the suspect, who was also injured.
The suspect has been detained, and both Rongen and the suspect are being treated at Harborview for non-life threatening injuries.
