TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police have found the man who is accused of forcing a girl into his vehicle and driving her to a store before she managed to escape.
A girl reported around 11 a.m. Sunday that she was forced into a red four-door Toyota vehicle by an unknown man, the Tacoma Police Department said in a release.
The man reportedly followed the girl for several blocks before forcing her into his vehicle in the area of 1700 Pacific Avenue, police said.
Once in the car, the man drove her to the 3000 block of 6th Avenue, police said. The girl managed to escape when the man "briefly exited the vehicle to enter a store."
Police located the man Monday and questioned him.
