FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A pair of Federal Way shootings that happened overnight left one man dead and one injured. Police believe they may be related.
Officers responded to Sea Mar Federal Way Medical Clinic on 18th Avenue South just after midnight Monday after reports of a shooting.
A man was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene after medics arrived.
Shortly after that shooting, police say, officers were dispatched to the Southridge House, which is owned by King County, on 14th Avenue South after a man was reported shot. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment, and no additional update on his condition was immediately available.
The two shootings were roughly a mile apart, and police say they believe the two are related. The investigation continues at both scenes, but Federal Way police say they don't believe there is any active danger to the community.
