Woman injured in attempted robbery in Auburn Walmart parking lot

The woman was injured in the process of shooting at the suspects, according to the Auburn Police Department.

AUBURN, Wash. — A woman was injured during an attempted robbery in the parking lot of a Walmart in Auburn early Tuesday morning, according to the Auburn Police Department. 

The woman was sitting in her car when she was approached by two suspects wielding guns, according to APD. The suspects demanded the woman's property. The woman pulled out a firearm and shot at the suspects, getting injured in the process.

The woman had non-life-threatening injuries and was treated near the scene. 

Police used a K-9 track, drones, and a helicopter from the King County Sheriff's Office to locate the suspects, who were taken into custody.
