Students and teachers at Seattle's Rainier Beach High school plan to rally outside of school every week until the jobs being threatened by budget cuts are restored.
On Wednesday, a group stood outside the school, demanding equal funding - an issue that gained national attention in a recent episode of the HBO series "Problem Areas."
School administrators say the district slashed the school's budget after under-projecting enrollment at Rainier Beach High. They initially said they could lose the equivalent of nearly five full-time teachers. That dropped to just below four positions after one job was restored.
It's not just Rainier Beach - districts across the state face similar issues.
It comes down to a variety of things including the disadvantage schools like Rainier Beach have when it comes to money in local levies, and money donated to the PTA.
