The mission of Mandarin Middle School is "to ensure a rigorous educational experience in a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment that promotes high academic expectations, civic responsibility and a personal accountability for all." The vision of the school is "Mandarin Middle School is committed to preparing all students to be productive citizens who will have the tools necessary to be successful in a culturally-diverse and global world."

Principal Dean Ledford says the Honors Academy Program allows students to accelerate their learning through advanced courses and competitive electives. The school's AVID program provides exceptional support to students who are preparing for college success as well as building character and leadership skills. Mandarin Middle also offers an advanced computer technology program that offers students experience in a wide range of computer programs.

The activities and clubs offered at Mandarin Middle include the Scholar Bowl, Bible Club, Chess Club, Environmental Club
Math Club, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, AVID and Yearbook.
