Everett is the latest city in Washington to jump on the electric scooter bandwagon.
LIME, known for its bike and small vehicle rental programs, will deliver 100 scooters to the city on Friday as part of a 90-day pilot program.
The city council discussed the program at Wednesday's meeting, bringing concerns to LIME representatives about safety, liability and program feedback.
Formal action was not required by the council to run the program.
Redmond and Bothell are expected to get bikes and scooters by this summer, according to a LIME representative at the council meeting.
Scooters are already on streets in Tacoma and Spokane.
And the City of Seattle recently approved a pilot program for the rent and ride scooters, but service won't begin until early next year.
