SEATTLE- She's accused of being one of Tiger Woods' mistresses, and Washington State says she's a deadbeat parent who owes thousands in child support.
The Woods story is now tabloid fodder, but the Seattle man once married to one of the alleged mistresses views it differently and hopes someone recognizes the woman who abandoned their child years ago.
She hasn't called, not even on a birthday, said Mark Daniels who is trying to shield his 10-year-old son from the Tiger Woods story and pictures of his ex-wife.
The biggest fear I have is walking into the grocery store with the child, and there it is, her picture is up on one of the magazines, he said.
Veronica Siwik's picture is everywhere after she was named by various publications as one of Woods' mistresses.
She was once a Seattle mother before the state says she abandoned her son and became a porn star known as Joslyn James.
She is now on a DSHS most-wanted list.
She owes in child support, a little bit over $13,000, plus a $22,000 judgment in fees, he explained.
Daniels who has remarried says it's been a struggle for his family and he's not hopeful his son will ever see the money.
She owes the little one, he said.
But he hopes Siwik's photo will cause people to think about more than just the tabloids and about the responsibilities that come with being a parent.
The only positive I can think of, those that owe money on child support need to take care of the responsibility, he said.
Daniels said it breaks his heart to shield his son from the news, but he's doing the best he can, and despite the struggles, and Siwik's lack of involvement, his son is doing very well in school.
