HOOD CANAL, Wash. -- Hama Hama is a family owned oyster business that's been harvesting oysters from the Hood Canal since 1922. Every year they celebrate oysters in a big way with the Hama Hama Oyster-Rama.
The 2015 Oyster-Rama takes place this Saturday, from noon to 5 pm. There will be cooking contests, shucking, music, beach walks and opportunities to take a selfies galore from atop the giant mound of shells on the property.
Proceeds benefit the Hood Canal Education Foundation and other charities, and according to Hama Hama's website, are currently sold out.
