SEATTLE — Open enrollment to buy health and dental insurance through Washington Healthplanfinder started on Nov. 1 and will run through Jan. 15.
The coverage options are available to anyone living in Washington state, regardless of immigration status.
The costs of plans depend on the type of coverage you select.
Making sure that all Washingtonians have more access to medical insurance coverage is crucial to the state's overall health especially in emergency situations, according to J. Manny Santiago, of Washington Health Benefit Exchange.

What you need to know:
- You do not need a social security number or to be a U.S. citizen to enroll in health insurance on Washington Healthplanfinder
- Information about immigration status will be used only to determine eligibility for health insurance and not for anything else, including enforcement
- Open enrollment is Nov 1 to Jan. 15 and is the time everyone can enroll in health insurance for 2025
- Through Washington Healthplanfinder, additional savings may be available for low-income earners
