Authorities say one person died and three people were hurt when a car crashed into a wall outside Canlis, a fine-dining restaurant on the south end of Seattle's Aurora Bridge.
Fire department spokesman Lance Garland told the Seattle Times that one person in the car was declared dead at the scene near Canlis restaurant Tuesday evening.
He says the car's other occupant and two pedestrians were taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg says one man was in critical condition, another was in serious condition and a third was in satisfactory condition Tuesday night.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. in the northbound lanes of SR 99, at the south end of the Aurora Bridge.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says traffic was backed up through the Highway 99 tunnel.
