Alleged gang members charged with conspiring to commit murder from prison

Prosecutor Mark Lindquist has charged four alleged members of the Eastside Lokotes Surenos street gang as criminal conspirators in a gang-related murder that occurred on May 12.

TACOMA, Wash. - Prosecutor Mark Lindquist has charged four alleged members of the Eastside Lokotes Surenos street gang as criminal conspirators in a gang-related murder that occurred on May 12.

Moises Larreinaga, Ruben Rios, Pablo Ortiz and Abel Gonzalez are charged with conspiring with others charged ELS members to kill Juan Zuniga a reputed ELS leader - who was shot and killed in his West Tacoma home.

Larreinaga, Rios, Ortiz and Gonzalez were in prison at the time of the murder.

We have charged four gang members with conspiring to commit murder from their prison cells, said Lindquist. This is another example of our Gang Unit prosecutors using bold methods to hold criminals accountable.

Nineteen alleged Eastside Lokotes Surenos gang members or associates have been charged over the last eight months in three separate Tacoma area gang-related murders.
