PORTLAND, Ore. — Service for Amtrak Cascades trains between Portland and Seattle resumed Monday morning after a track closure, according to Amtrak

The company had said previously that weather events caused "an unforeseen track closure." During the service disruption, Cascades Train 507 and 518 were canceled. Cascade Train 517 terminated in Kelso, and passengers were provided with a bus to Portland. Coast Starlight, which departed from Los Angeles on Thursday, terminated in Portland, and passengers were able to continue on their journey to Seattle on a provided bus.

Passengers with reservations on the trains that are being disrupted will typically be accommodated on trains for similar departure times or another day, Amtrak said.
