Snowflake Lane officially opened Friday evening in downtown Bellevue.
The annual tradition kicked off with a holiday parade featuring Santa and his sleigh, and the lighting of a 30-foot holiday tree.
There were also events for kids that included holiday music, cookies and cocoa, and a chance to have their picture taken with Snowflake Lane characters.
A regular 20-minute show will run every night between Saturday and Christmas at 7 p.m.
The show includes a performance by hundreds of local teens dancing and drumming.
