BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Burlington Tent Revival is still going strong - in its eleventh week in town.
The evangelical worship experience started at New Hope Baptist Church in May and was only supposed to last a week.
Now, there's no end in sight.
"I've been looking for old fashioned camp meetings ever since I was a kid. I was raised around this kind of stuff."
Two worship services a day - Monday through Friday.
"There's a hunger," says Lead Evangelist CT Townsend. "People everyday drive by this road and come in here just to pray."
And at night - good luck trying to find a seat.
It might not look like a lot with its makeshift alter, and folding chairs, but Burlington Tent Revival is drawing in thousands of people every day and it has been for the past few months.
"Just like when you go to a restaurant and you find there's a new restaurant in town and you've got really good food you tell everybody about it right?"
Brandon O'Quinn drove more than 20 hours from central Texas, not once, but twice, just to be here.
Like many others - he thinks it's not just what this community, but the country needs right now.
"Just with all of the darkness and the negativity, this is something that's positive," O'Quinn says. "I pray this keeps on going and spreading around. I don't want to see it ever stop."
The Burlington Revival wasn't supposed to last this long - but it's here to stay for now.
The crowds that keep it going are not a burden, but a blessing.
"As long as God is still working, we're going to keep going," Townsend explains." And that's up to God, not up to us, I guess."
Tent leaders are expecting the biggest crowd Friday - for kids day.
The tent continues to operate through donations.
