Tracy Taylor joins KING 5 as Traffic Anchor

Long time sports radio traffic reporter and Seattle traffic specialist joins the KING 5 Morning News team.

Seattle, WA KING 5 is pleased to welcome Tracy Taylor as traffic anchor on KING s Morning News. Tracy brings extensive local radio traffic reporting experience with her to KING 5.

Taylor s traffic reports during the busy morning commute is part of KING 5 s highly rated weekday morning news with anchors Joyce Taylor, Brad Goode and meteorologist Rich Marriott.

We all know that driving around the Northwest can be a challenge, said Pat Costello, Vice President and KING 5 Station Manager. Tracy has a proven track record of letting people know where the trouble spots are around town. We re very pleased that she s bringing her traffic expertise to viewers of KING 5 Morning News.

Taylor debuted at KING 5 in January 2010. She replaces Meeghan Black who left the traffic anchor position in December to be the full-time host of KING 5 s Evening Magazine show.

Tracy s traffic reports on KJR AM Sports Radio 950 began in 2001. She left KJR radio and moved to Spokane, her hometown, to become a television weather anchor at KREM-2 a sister station to KING 5. After a year in Spokane, Tracy moved near Raleigh, North Carolina to be a radio program director. She also worked in radio in Huntsville, Alabama before returning to KJR in 2005 as the morning on-air traffic reporter.

Taylor stays active in the winter with skiing. When the weather heats up, she participates in softball, wakeboarding and golf. Tracy also is a fan of college basketball and Seahawks football.

The KING 5 Morning News begins at 4:30 AM on KING 5 and moves to sister station KONG-TV 6/16 from 7:00 to 9:00 AM.
