Concert tour raising awareness for unsolved cold case murder

No arrests have been made in the case despite hundreds of leads. Now, Jamie Reynolds hopes a concert tour will help solve his brother's murder.

A Mount Vernon native is wrapping up a 10-day concert tour to raise awareness of his brother's murder.

"We're still trying to figure out what happened to him," said Jamie Reynolds, founder of the band named 1967.

Jamie’s brother Geoff Reynolds was born in 1967. On January 21, 1998, 30-year-old Reynolds was found shot to death in his home on Montborne Road near Big Lake in Skagit County.

The case remains an unsolved Homicide.

Detectives with the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office say despite following hundreds of leads in the case, no arrests have been made.

There was no forced entry into the home, leading detectives to believe the person or persons who killed Geoff Reynolds, most likely knew him.

Today, Jamie hopes the tour will attract new tips.

"It gives me a lot of fuel and drive to keep on playing music and find out what happened to him," said Reynolds. "It's definitely an inspiration, and it's definitely something that eats at you over time. You know it'd be nice to know what happened to him."
