'Dating Game killer' photos linked to 3 missing persons cases

At least 3 women photographed by convicted serial killer Rodney Alcala might be linked to missing persons cases.
These are ten of the hundreds of photos recovered during court-authorized searches of Alcala's Monterey Park home and a storage locker Alcala rented in Seattle that were released Wednesday March 10, 2010 by the Huntington Beach police. Huntington Beach police are asking for the public's help in identifying any potential victims among dozens of young women apparently photographed by Rodney Alcala, convicted in the serial murders of four women and a 12-year-old girl.

SEATTLE - Hundreds of photos of men, women and children taken by convicted serial killer Rodney Alcala were discovered in a Shoreline storage facility, now police in Huntington Beach, Calif. say at least three of the photos have been linked to missing persons cases.

Our goal here is to see justice done, to bring closure to the families and victims still out there, saidOrange County Assistant District Attorney Matt Murphy.

Rodney Alcala was sentenced to death this week for the kidnapping, rape and murder of5 people including a 12-year-old girl. He's been nicknamed The Dating Game killer after appearing on the show in 1978 just months before his first arrest. The woman who picked him later said he was creepy and refused to go on the date.

As for the unnamed women and children in the photographs, some have already come forward to say they're OK. Investigators still worry about the ones who haven't come forward.
